RIKO WAHYUDI

Riko currently also acting as a researcher at the Climate Change Research Center – University of Indonesia (RCCC-UI: www.rccc.ui.ac.id). Riko was also the Secretary General of the Indonesian Association of Climate Change and Forestry Experts (APIK Indonesia: www.apiki.or.id 2017-2022. He has in-depth knowledge and extensive experiences in climate change issues, mainly emission reduction (ER) projects of forestry and energy sectors in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Riko participated in developing Forest Management Unit (FMU) long-term plans in several areas in Indonesia, including in Borneo island through the FORCLIME – GIZ Program and in Aceh through the SICCR-TAC Program funded by the European Union (EU). In addition, he is also involved in various work plans of Social Forestry (SF) groups in Sumatra and Borneo islands. Riko also has profound experiences in integrating area based FMU planning, including Social Forestry permit areas with multi-jurisdictional planning while developing sustainable funding mechanisms for FMUs and Social Forestry groups and designing appropriate institutions with the support of various donor agencies such as GIZ, UNDP, GOPA, AHT, USAID, The Asia Foundation, and World Bank. Riko has been Senior Advisor for more than 1,5 years in South Pole for all projects in Southeast Asia, mainly in FOLU and Energy sector. Riko is also an expert for developing a benefit sharing mechanism (BSM) of Jurisdictional REDD+ in BioCarbon Fund Initiative for Sustainable Forest Landscape (BioCF-ISFL) funded by World Bank in Jambi province for 5 years. In energy sector, Riko has been requested by Ministry of Home Affairs and National Energy Council (DEN) in developing gap analysis for energy transition and drafting technical guidelines to integrate National/Subnational Energy Plan (RUEN/D) into subnational development plans (RPJMD) funded by the Trend Asia. Now, Riko is also selected as Indonesia’s delegation member for Article 6 in Bonn Conference and Conference of Parties (COP) of United Nation Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

CHRISTIAN SILANGEN

Christian is an expert in fields of Ecological-Economic, Carbon, and Energy Expert. Christian Silangen is also a researcher at Research Center for Climate Change – Research Center for Climate Change (RCCC – UI: www.rccc.ui.ac.id) who focuses on ecological-economic analysis as well as carbon issues, including in energy sector and their interrelationships with the economic aspect. He is also an expert in econometrics and quantitative analysis. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Brandeis University, Massachusetts, USAand has a lot of experiences in developing voluntary carbon projects in Indonesia and Latin America. He has also various socio-economic studies such as Analyzing the socio-economic impact of road construction in the Bukit Barisan Selatan national park area; Stranded coal assets in Indonesia; Scenario-based planning linking the environmental and economic issues of indigenous peoples in the High Conservation Value (HCV) areas in Kampar, Riau and Sigi, Central Sulawesi; and involved in the review of general allocation funds (Dana Alokasi Umum, DAU) for forest-rich districts in Indonesia as well as various investment strategic plans for private and public sectors.
He has also various energy projects in several provinces in Indonesia. He supported development of Provincial Energy Plan (RUED) in North Sumatra and Riau province. He also involved in developing methodology of carbon in Indonesia’s Registry System for renewable energy and conservation energy. Under RCCC-UI project supported by Ford Foundation, Christian has supported enabling conditions for energy transition, mainly centering social and ecological justice, in Indonesia. He also interested in climate and energy resilience as he had worked in USAID project for prioritizing adaptation programs in energy sector based on cost-benefit analysis in several provinces in Indonesia.

Muis Fajar is an enthusiast in Natural Resource Management, possessing skills in Spatial Analysis, Forestry, Biodiversity, Social Impact Assessment, Low Carbon Development and Climate Risk Assessment. His professional background includes collaborations with prestigious organizations such as WWF, UN-Migration/IOM, UNDP, WRI, UNEP / UNREDD, EDF, and Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) for various capacities, ranging from researcher to project leader and manager. He is also wellversed in international standards set by donors like NORAD, USAID, UKAID, AUSAID, and understands the requirements for social/environmental safeguard, including the Equator Principles, World Bank/IFC Performance Standards, ADB Environmental and Social Standards and Climate Community and Biodiversity (CCB) Standards.

Mikhail Gorbachev Dom is Geographer who has twenty years of experience in research and consultancy in the field of environment sustainability. In 2022 he has been appointed to be staf of Vice Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning and from 2024 Expert Staf of Ministry of Forestry, previously he is an advisor to local and central governments in addressing environmental assessment into planning document and development policy. His experience includes research development of urban planning, natural resource management, environmental assessment, sustainable tourism in coastal and small island, indigenous people, political ecology and also climate change adaptation and mitigation.
HEINRICH TERHORST

Heinrich Terhorst is a senior international expert with more than 30 years of professional experience in environmental protection, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and sustainable development. He holds a Master of Science in Agriculture from the Technical University of Berlin and a Diploma in Financial Administration and Management from the University of Chile. His strong academic foundation is complemented by full professional fluency in English, Bahasa Indonesia, and Spanish, enabling effective engagement across diverse international and multicultural contexts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Terhorst has successfully managed and led complex, multi-year development projects funded by the European Union, GIZ, BMZ, and other international donors across Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa, and Europe. His core expertise includes sustainable agroforestry, REDD+ implementation, green economy development, biodiversity conservation, and the integration of environmental and social safeguards, including gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI).
He has extensive experience supporting national and subnational governments-particularly in Indonesia-in policy development, strategic environmental planning, and climate finance mechanisms. Currently, he serves as Project Manager at the Senate Chancellery of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, where he co-manages an EU-funded project on solid waste management and circular economy in partnership with the City of Windhoek, Namibia. Renowned for his strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and stakeholder coordination skills, Heinrich Terhorst consistently bridges policy, science, and practical implementation to advance sustainable development outcomes.
